The place
An island built around the water
Eden Island is a man-made marina island off the east coast of Mahé, linked to the mainland by a bridge and just a ten-minute drive from the airport. It is a private, secured estate where every home has its own access to the water.
The island is entirely car-free: beyond the entrance you move around in quiet electric buggies, one assigned to each residence. Well-kept walkways through gardens and lagoons take you to any of the four private beaches, the marina or the Eden Plaza shopping centre in a couple of minutes. No cars, no bustle — just the sea, greenery and a stillness that is rare in the tropics.
The island draws a mix of people: guests on holiday, couples on honeymoon, families, and those who have moved here to work remotely. What unites them is privacy and the freedom to shape the day on their own terms — no shared breakfasts, no strangers' loungers next to yours.

Eden Island is a self-contained world. Within walking distance is the Eden Plaza shopping centre: a supermarket, pharmacies, boutiques, banks, restaurants and bars. Nearby are a fitness centre, tennis and padel courts, public swimming pools and four private beaches.
A world-class international marina lets you berth a yacht minutes from your residence, while charters and fishing trips are on offer for the more adventurous. The rest of the time the island stays quiet: electric buggies instead of cars, round-the-clock security and the feel of a private club under the open sky.
