A new name joins our partner list: Seyfinity now officially represents Creole Cottage Apartment, a small apartment complex in Anse Royale on the south-east coast of Mahé. Guests who book through us get a discount on their stay — and the longer the trip, the more it's worth.

What kind of place it is

Creole Cottage Apartment is for travellers who would rather not stay in a hotel. There is no lobby bar and no entertainment schedule — instead you get your own apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, and you decide when breakfast happens and what goes on the table at dinner. It's a way of travelling that feels closer to island life than to a resort itinerary: the morning market, fish straight off the boats, fruit from a roadside stall, all of it cooked in your own kitchen.

The complex has six apartments. Four studios sleep two — compact, with a kitchenette and everything within reach. Two larger apartments take up to four guests each, which suits families with children. Travelling as a big group? You can book the whole complex: together it sleeps up to sixteen people, and the entire house is yours.

Every apartment has a kitchen with a hob, fridge, microwave and cookware, plus a washing machine, air conditioning, an iron, Wi-Fi and its own shower room. Housekeeping is available on request for an extra charge.

The highlight: a rooftop barbecue

The rooftop deserves a chapter of its own: a barbecue area with open views over the ocean. It's what makes this address memorable — dinner at sunset after a day on the coast, with no table to reserve and no drive to a restaurant. While the fish is on the grill, the sky over the water turns from gold to violet, and you're already home. For self-catering accommodation on Mahé, a space like this is rare.

Where Creole Cottage Apartment is located

Anse Royale sits on the south-east of Mahé — a calm, green part of the island, away from the busier north coast. Anse Royale beach is about fifteen minutes on foot or five minutes by car, and the drive from the international airport takes around twenty-five minutes.

The village has shops, cafés and a bank, and two beaches we've already covered are close by: the quiet Anse Bougainville and Fairyland Beach, with the best shore snorkelling and the calmest water for children on this stretch of coast.
